Looking for a fun, unique way to spend time with your friends? At a DIY Wood Sign Workshop you can host a group in your home or at a local venue. All guests are given the supplies they need along with guided instruction in a relaxed environment. Each guests starts with a stained or painted board and a design selected ahead of time. Step by step instructions are given to apply the design and paint. The possibilities are endless as everyone is given an opportunity to creative freely. 

All we ask is that you bring a little creativity and a willingness to learn. The goal is for everyone to create a sign from scratch that they can be proud of! It is our hope that each guest finds workshops to be relaxing, fun and inspiring. 


How long does a workshop last?
Workshops usually last between 2-3 hours depending on the pace and each guests’ attention to detail.
It is important for guests to arrive on time to ensure we begin on time, allowing everyone the time they need to create their masterpieces. We will need 30 minutes after for cleanup.

How many guests can attend?
A minimum of 8 people and maximum of 12 are preferred for a private workshop. However, if you plan to have a group larger than 12, please contact us for special arrangements.

How much does it cost?
Prices range from $30 – $60 for standard signs. Additional cost would be for “from scratch” designs. This includes all supplies and a step-by-step tutorial. Prices are based on the design you choose plus framing and/or the “design your own” options which are additional charges. All prices are listed on the registration form. 

What type of payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment via PayPal and Apple Pay and can send invoices upon request. Please contact us for alternate payment methods. 

Where are your workshops located?
We can host workshops at your house or chosen venue anywhere within 45 miles of Milford, Indiana. If you are outside of these areas, please contact us to inquire about hosting a workshop.

When can workshops be held?
Workshops can be done weekday evenings or Saturdays.

How do guests select their designs?
Prior to the workshop, we will send out a personalized link with design and purchasing options. We will provide guests with several design options to choose from. We ask that guests pay for and select their chosen designs at least one week prior to the date of the workshop, so that we have enough time to prepare all of the stencils and sign materials. 

What should guests wear?
We will provide aprons, however because guests will be working with wood stain and paints, we suggest wearing comfortable, dark colored clothing.  (Please note: grace + rose design is not responsible for any clothing items that may be damaged during the sign making process.)

Does it cost to host?
grace + rose design does not charge a host to host a workshop. (Venue fees may apply, depending on where you choose to gather) A $75 refundable deposit is due from the host at the time of scheduling to secure your chosen date. Said deposit is refunded to the host once at least 8 people have registered and paid for their spot at the workshop. The host may use this refund as a credit to his/her own workshop cost.

What about food and drink?
We encourage hosts and/or guests to bring or provide drinks and snacks. This is a party after all! There will be time in between steps to grab refreshments or drink refills.
