Looking for a fun, unique way to spend time with your friends? A wood sign workshop is a great way to get together and create. All guests are given the supplies they need along with guided instruction in a relaxed environment. Each guest receives step-by-step instructions on how to paint or stain their board and framing, apply the design and paint. The possibilities are endless as everyone is given an opportunity to creative freely.
All we ask is that you bring a little creativity and a willingness to learn. The goal is for everyone to create a sign from scratch that they can be proud of! It is our hope that each guest finds workshops to be relaxing, fun and inspiring.
How long does a workshop last?
Workshops usually last between 2-3 hours depending on the pace and each guests’ attention to detail. It is important for guests to arrive on time to ensure we begin on time, allowing everyone the time they need to create their masterpieces.
How many guests can attend?
A minimum of 8 people and maximum of 12 are preferred for a private workshop. However, if you plan to have a group larger than 12, please contact us for special arrangements.
How much does it cost?
Prices range from $30 – $75 which includes all supplies. Prices are based on the design you choose plus framing which is an additional charge. All prices are clearly listed on the registration form.
What type of payment methods do you accept?
Payment via cash or check, PayPal, Apple Pay or e-invoice is required at registration. Please contact us for alternate payment methods.
Where are your workshops located?
Workshops take place at Made on Main located at 103 S. Main St., Milford, Indiana.
When can workshops be held?
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evening or Saturday after 1 p.m.
How do guests select their designs?
A couple weeks prior to the workshop, we share a personalized link to an online registration form with a large variety of design options.
What should guests wear?
We will provide aprons, however because guests will be working with wood stain and paints, we suggest wearing comfortable, dark colored clothing. (Please note: grace + rose design is not responsible for any clothing items that may be damaged during the sign making process.)
Does it cost to host?
A $75 refundable deposit is due from the designated host at the time of scheduling to secure a workshop date. This deposit is refunded to the host when at least 8 people have registered and paid for their spot at the workshop. The host may use this refund as a credit to his/her own workshop cost.
What about food and drink?
We encourage hosts and/or guests to bring their own drinks and food. This is a party after all! There will be time in between steps to grab refreshments.
